Happy October! Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit
I did it! Woohoo! Around three months ago today I decided to do a 200 hour teacher training program with Yogasport in Dallas. Since moving to Dallas (January 2008) I’ve thought to myself - one day I’m going to have one of those ‘aha’ moments when I realize THIS is why I ended up in Dallas. Probably half way through training I realized Yogasport’s teacher training program was it – it is why I’m in Dallas! I’ll be honest – I didn’t really think the day would come when I could say that, especially so soon after moving. But it did, and Dallas is actually growing on me (don’t tell anyone:) I met an amazing group of women in training whose strength and light I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I still can’t believe I lived two blocks away from Yogasport for over a year and never stepped foot inside – it wasn’t until I moved 15 minutes away that I discovered the studio. Funny how a series of serendipitous events land you somewhere you would have never imagined 4 months ago.
So – I’ve finished teacher training, now what? I want to teach! I have a few more loose ends to tie up – assisting a few classes, teaching a few more community classes, and teaching my first class in a real studio in 3 weeks (GAH!)
Without going into too many details, I’m not currently satisfied with my job, my living sitch, my city sitch or my long distance boyfriend sitch. I need to make some changes. The problem is, I’ve have a REALLY hard time committing to change.
This Yogini is ready to make a move!
I’m starting this blog to document my journey, keep myself accountable (now that training is over I want to follow through and teach regularly), discuss all things yoga, and share my passion for healthy living and eating. And whatever else comes up.
